Think of Google Collections as an aggregator of items you want to return to later or share with others. You can save links, images and places from Google search results. How you use it is up to you. It’s great for anything from places you’d like to visit to an online recipe book with links to your favorite dishes.

It’s almost like using Pinterest… without a Pinterest account. Here are some smart ways to use Google Collections:

Mood boards to inspire your home renovation project

Quotes and Ideas for Setting and Achieving Goals

Simple shopping lists

News you would like to link to later

Lists of your favorite places, things you would like to see and places you want to visit

Medical study of a disease or condition

Dream boats, cars and vacations when you win the lottery

Collections are also easy to share. Once you set up the collection, just click the button Share Icon in the upper right corner. You can get a share link or shoot the person you want to share with a tweet, facebook messageor by email directly from the collection page.

How to use Google Collections

You may save one or two collections without even knowing it. To check go to google.com/collections.

Start a new collection on the computer:

Go to google.com/collections.

Left select New collection and give it a name. Click GOOD to save it.

Now you can search what to add.

You can save items to any collections you create directly through Google search results.

Search google.com and select the desired result.

Click the button at the top three dots More options and search Add to. You cannot save this item to the collection if it is not there.

This will store the element in your latest collection. To select another, click Change > select your collection.

You can also do this on your phone.

Start a new collection on Android or iPhone:

Open the Google app.

Click below Collections > See your collections > New collection.

Give the collection a name and tap Create.

To save items, search the Google app, tap the result, and select Add to upstairs.

To save images, search the Google app and tap the image. To choose Tomorrow > Add to.
