As of Friday 10 June, the total number of detected cases of Covid-19 in South Africa is 3,976,653, with 1,592 new cases.

This represents a 7.6% positive rate, according to the National Institute of Infectious Diseases.NICD) confirmed.

twenty COVID-19 Related deaths were reported, eight of which occurred in the last 24–48 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 101,468.

Over the past 24 hours, 71 people have been hospitalized.

The total number of recovered people is 3,851,856 with a recovery rate of 96.9%. South Africa currently has 23,329 active cases.

A total of 25,467,671 tests have been conducted to date in both the public and private sectors.

The total number of vaccines introduced in the country as of June 10 is 36,439,266.

Provincial breakdown

The majority of new Covid-19 cases have occurred in Gauteng (548), followed by the Western Cape (360) and KwaZulu-Natal (216).

This is followed by the Eastern Cape (120), while the Free State, Northwest and Mpumalanga each have 82 new cases.

The Northern Cape (64) and Limpopo (38) recorded their lowest cases for the day.
