Mobile solutions for hydrogen energy: amogy

Amogy is a Brooklyn-based science and technology startup dedicated to creating zero-emission solutions for the mobility sector as a whole. The company recently raised $46 million in a funding round from multiple high-profile investors that it will use to develop several types of clean energy solutions. First, Amogy will focus on creating ammonia-based fuel solutions for maritime transport.

However, the largest and arguably most effective initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the board is the Amogy hydrogen fuel cell. This fuel cell will be zero-emission and will be able to power everything from small cars to full-size trucks. The company said that one of the biggest problems with using hydrogen as a primary fuel source is its portability, as it is inconvenient and difficult to transport hydrogen over long distances. This is where ammonia comes into play again, as Amogi believes ammonia is an energy-efficient way to store and move hydrogen, making it more suitable as a primary fuel source.
