Danish Business Confidence, June 2022

Business sentiment in June was minus 10.0, which is noticeably lower than May’s minus 4.0. The June result was the worst result since September 2020. Consequently, the index fell below the 0-point threshold, indicating stronger pessimism among businesses.

The June slump largely reflected a sharp deterioration in manufacturing sentiment. In addition, firms’ attitudes toward outstanding orders also worsened.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast expects gross fixed capital investment to rise 3.2% in 2022, up 1.1 percentage points from last month’s forecast, and 2.0% in 2023.
