Miles Bridges’ wife breaks silence to reveal details of alleged assault following NBA star’s arrest

The wife of Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges took to social media early Friday morning to share details of her alleged attack This happened earlier this week, leading to the subsequent arrest of the NBA player.

Michelle Johnson, 24, posted a series of photos on Instagram that show cuts and bruises on several parts of her body, including her face, back, and legs.

“I hate it’s come to this but I can’t be silent anymore,” Johnson wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption. “I let someone destroy my home, abuse me in every possible way, and traumatize our children for life. I have nothing to prove to the world, but I will not let anyone who could do something so terrible not feel remorse and paint a picture of something that I am not.”

She continued, “I won’t let the people around him continue to keep me quiet and continue to lie to protect this person. It’s unethical, it’s immoral, it really HURTS.”

Bridges was arrested for domestic violence in Los Angeles on Wednesday after turning himself in to local authorities in connection with an alleged assault that happened a day earlier. according to TMZ Sports.

Police told the publication that Johnson said an altercation with the 24-year-old NBA player escalated into a physical conflict that required her to seek medical attention.

“I will no longer be silent to protect others, because I value myself and my children more than anyone else’s “image” … Broken nose, wrist, ruptured eardrum, torn neck muscles from suffocation until I fell asleep, and severe concussion,” Johnson wrote in her post.

She also shared part of her discharge papers, which appeared to be from a hospital visit on Tuesday, where her diagnosis was “Adult victim of physical abuse by a male partner.”

In the document, her injuries are listed as “assault by strangulation, concussion, closed fracture of the nasal bone, contusion of the rib, multiple contusions, sprained neck muscles.”

“I don’t need sympathy, I just don’t want this to happen to anyone else, I just want that person to get help, my kids deserve better. That’s all I want,” Johnson wrote. “It hurts, everything hurts, this situation hurts, most importantly, I’m scared and hurt for my children, who witnessed everything. Please respect my family’s privacy and stop the disgusting rumors and accusations.”

Bridges was arrested and released on $130,000 bail.
