Yuto Horigome reached the final of the first qualifying tournament Paris 2024

Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Yuto Horigome was the only Japanese to reach Sunday’s eight-man World Skate Street Skateboarding final in Rome, finishing third in the semi-finals with 254.60 points.

Portugal’s Gustavo Ribeiro leads the men’s competition in the first qualifying event for the Paris Olympics with a score of 262.50, followed by America’s Nija Houston with a score of 255.00. Two Japanese figure skaters did not make it to the final: 15-year-old Toa Sasaki finished 10th, while Tokyo Olympic champion Yukito Aoki finished 12th.
