The Premier League (PSL) has found a new sponsor for one of the knockout tournaments that has not been seen in the last two years.
The knockout competition was last held in 2019, when it was sponsored by Telkom and called Telkom Knockout.
It will now be called the Carling Knockout Cup and will feature all 16 top teams.
“I kept everyone on their toes… you have to understand that I am in the business of creating content, live content,” said PSL chairman Irving Hoza, announcing the sponsorship on Tuesday morning.
“We are responsible for increasing the happiness index in the country, and we are creating dialogues.
“I am very happy because I am going to answer the question that was asked: “What are we doing with the Telkom Knockout Cup?” Today I’m announcing a new sponsor, Carling Black Label.”
This is an evolving story that will be updated over time.
