Ben Motshwari’s impending move to Sekuhun United has forced the Orlando Pirates’ technical team to change their decision to release Thabang Monare, according to a source.
According to an insider at the club, Motshwari had no intention of leaving the club, especially after Bux decided to release Monare. But Motshwari’s request to leave the Pirates caused the tech team to reconsider their decision to let Monare go.

The source reports that Monare was unhappy about leaving the club, and the former Jomo Cosmos player will welcome a return to the Pirates, and talks have begun between Monare and Bux about a new contract.
“This Monare thing had to be done because the club was not going to look for another midfielder elsewhere because Ben wants to leave. The club thought that Ben would stay and his contract would be renewed, but he was not happy with a few things, so he thought it would be better if the club let him go, ”the source explained.
“I know one thing: Monare was not ready to leave the Pirates, he did not want to leave, and when he saw his name on the list of released players, he was very shocked. What I can tell you is that he was still in talks with the club to extend his stay. But the negotiations dragged on, and the management and the technical team needed to finalize the line-up. Soon the team will make an announcement about the situation with Ben and Monare, and there will also be a new player who is still in talks with the team.”
Meanwhile, Monare fueled rumors of his impending return to the Pirates by posting a photo of himself in the club’s colors with the caption “once and for all.”
