Atlanta will be the third team he plays this season if he takes the field for the Braves. New York owes Kano almost $45 million left over from the current deal he signed with Seattle Mariners back in 2013.

The Mets acquired Cano in 2018 in a deal with Gerson Batista, Jay Bruce, Justin Dunn, Jarred Kelenich and Anthony Swarzak. New York also came close to Edwin Diaz in trade.
