Panahi, 62, has won numerous awards at international film festivals. Among them are the main prize of the Berlin International Film Festival “Golden Bear” for the film “Taxi” in 2015, as well as the prize for the best screenplay of the Cannes Film Festival for the film “Three Faces” in 2018.
