Here is a list of highly anticipated games coming out in the coming months.

SIX months until 2022, and the gaming industry has experienced several heavy releases such as Forbidden Horizon Westreinvented Pokémon Legends: Arceusalong with critically acclaimed and commercial ancient ring.

While for the rest of the year, release dates for major games have been pushed back to 2023 such as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as well as Breath of the Wild 2the year might still be able to end on a high note rather than a whimper if the release of the next games isn’t pushed back to next year, that is.

saints row

Platform: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows

Release date: August 23

Complete reboot of the franchise saints row The developer Volition promised that the game will return to the era Saints Row 2where the reboot will have a balanced sense of humor and seriousness given the current social climate and Generation Z sensibilities.

This course change or correction was due to the franchise’s last main game, Saints Row 4 in 2013, pushing the series’ over-the-top comedy and parody to its absolute limits.

With longtime fans of the franchise criticizing the change in creative vision, it remains to be seen before the game’s release whether this was the right decision.

forgotten

Platform: prefix 5, windows

Release date: October 11

Second game developed by Square Enix subsidiary Luminous Productions after Final Fantasy XV in 2016, forgotten is a brand new IP set in the fantasy land of Atia after protagonist Frey Holland is transported there from his modern world.

Developed with the Luminious Engine, forgotten will use the power of PlayStation 5 and PC to create a huge open world, gameplay and magic battles.

Gotham Knights

Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Windows

Release date: the 25th of October

The Court of Owls, the villainous secret society, will make its debut outside of Batman comics in Gotham Knightsthe next big Batman-related video game.

The action takes place in Gotham City with an open world very similar to Batman: Arkham games, Gotham Knights will put players in the shoes of Batman’s first four henchmen: Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl and Robin.

The characters will have their own playstyles that reflect their counterparts in other media, although Red Hood will have a few changes, most notably the lethal weapons of the traditionally brutal vigilante will be replaced with non-lethal ones.

Gotham Knights originally also intended to be released on the latest generation of consoles, but development on it was discontinued.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Purple

Platform: Nintendo Switch

Release date: November 18th

Fans of the Pokemon franchise are living in a golden era. Pokemon Scarlet as well as Pokemon Purple released in the same year as the previously released Pokemon Shiny Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl as well as Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

The new games will mark the start of the “ninth generation” of Pokémon games and, judging by the trailers released, are likely to be a combined amalgamation pokemon sword, Pokemon Shield as well as Arceus when it comes to a new generation approach to open world gameplay while maintaining the core formula that has been around since 1996.

Plague Tale: Requiem

The story of Amicia and Hugo continues after 2017. Plague Tale: InnocenceWith Requiem taking the siblings far to the south of France as they try to start a new life and find a way to cure Hugo’s curse.

The rats, however, soon return, forcing the duo to flee to an island rumored to contain the cure.

Requiem will follow the core gameplay of Innocence with elements of puzzle and survival horror, and the innovative narrative heavy storytelling returns to tell a compelling story of survival and family ties.

Undoubtedly, there will be additional improvements, one of which is the crossbow, which can be seen in promotional images and trailers.

God of War: Ragnarok

Platform: prefix 4, prefix 5

Release date: November 2022

The action takes place three years after 2018. god of WarKratos and his son Atreus (and players) must take on the Norse pantheon of gods.

Unlike the previous god of War games that took three main and several intermediate games to tell a story over almost 15 years, Ragnarok will end the Scandinavian era of God of War with just two games.

Producer Corey Balrog explained that this was due to the sheer size and scope of the game, which would tell the story of the trilogy in a dulogy.

The actual release date is expected to be announced sometime in June or July.
