VIDEO: Life is a beach on the banks of the Seine in Paris

Tourists and Parisians on Sunday headed to the beach in the landlocked French capital for the second day of this year’s Paris Plages.

The event turns the city’s banks of the Seine into an alley lined with palm trees and sun loungers.

The 20-year-old event offers games and activities for children, refreshing misty gardens, rows of sun loungers and several food courts.

Paris Plages will be open until 21 August.
