‘I’d rather have US Marines’: Bowen signs ‘climate alliance’ with US

Sky News anchor Peta Credlin says she would rather have a US Marine contingent over a “windmill” any day to keep Australia safe while the United States and Australia reach a climate action deal.

The Australian Government co-hosted the Sydney Energy Forum, where Climate Change and Energy Secretary Chris Bowen and US Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm signed a new “climate alliance” to develop and deploy new zero-emission technologies.

“He (Mr Bowen) said that climate change must now be the centerpiece of the US-Australia alliance,” said Ms Credlin.

“I think I’d rather have a US Marine contingent than a windmill keeping us safe any day.”
