IOC representative: athletes from Russia and Belarus may be disqualified for Paris 2024

Athletes from Russia and Belarus may not be allowed to the 2024 Games in Paris due to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, said senior member of the International Olympic Committee Craig Reedy.

In February, the IOC issued guidance to the sports governing bodies to bar athletes from the two countries from competition. Belarus has been used as a springboard for a Russian invasion, which Moscow calls a “special military operation.”
