The 19-year-old is part of the squad that will take on Mozambique on Wednesday in the quarter-finals of the Kosaf Cup at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Radiopane, who will spend next season on loan with the Motsepe Foundation Championship, the Cape Town Spurs of the Orlando Pirates, played for the Bucs juniors in the DStv Diski Challenge, where he was the top scorer with 24 goals last season.

“I am ready to use all my possibilities if I am given a chance to play. This is not my first Cosafa tournament, the last time he participated in the Men’s Under 17 Cosafa Championship was in 2018. We lost to Angola in the final and no one was happy with that outcome. For example, I have since grown out of it, so I’m here, ” quotes the striker.

“The selection process for the Bafan Bafan team was not easy because there were many talented players in the preliminary squad. I’m just grateful to be here and right now I’m focused on doing well for the country in this tournament, starting with Mozambique. I take my abilities very seriously, and you can bet it if they give me the nod to play; I’m going to use it to the fullest.”

Bafana won the Cosafa Cup last year and Radiopane says they hope to defend their title.

“We are the defending champions and we need to make sure we emulate last year’s Bafana Bafana team by winning and defending this title.”
