VIU releases Malaysian adaptation of Korean drama ‘She Was Pretty’

Stephen Lim, Vice Director of Development for Viu Malaysia, echoed similar remarks, noting the strong demand for local adaptations.

“This Malaysian-made version is Viu’s 15th original production and is produced by Viu in collaboration with Independent Pictures,” Lim said at the show’s media launch.

“Because Vue’s original work is the cornerstone of our content strategy, we look forward to continuing to create the work that our viewers want. Based on our experience, adaptation has worked for us in the past, like Black and bridge. ”

He continued, “Of course, there are many fans of Korean dramas as well as fans of Malay dramas. It makes sense to marry these two by adapting a popular Korean series into a Malaysian version. And the universal theme of love also echoes our direction.”
