Cameron Young takes the lead as Tiger Woods stumbles into the British Open

Cameron Young took the lead in the first round of the 150th British Open at St Andrews after an outstanding eight-under par 64 on Thursday, with Rory McIlroy two strokes behind. Tiger Woods, however, had a sad day upon his return to the Old Field.

Woods was determined to be in the hunt this week as he continues to recover from severe leg injuries he sustained in a car accident last year, but he struggled to score six over par 78 in a dismal round that lasted over six hours. .
