Wild monkeys stole a baby and threw the child off the roof in a tragic attack

A newborn baby boy tragically died on Friday when flock of monkeys stole it from his parents and threw it off the roof.

According to numerous reports, Nirdesh Upadhyay from Bareilly, Indiawas standing on the roof terrace of his third floor with his wife and child when the animals landed and surrounded them.

Nirdesh was reportedly trying to escape from them with a 4-month-old baby when the baby fell out of his hands onto the ground and one of the monkeys grabbed him before he could pick him up again and threw him overboard.

The child died immediately.

The India Times reported that others family members ran to the terrace to help, but it was too late. It is reported that the monkeys then attacked them as well.

The family was reportedly preparing for the child’s name day when the tragedy occurred.

Bareilly Chief Forest Conservator Lalit Verma said the incident had been reported and was being investigated, according to the Press Trust of India.

Monkeys are known to terrorize the people of India. In 2019 a flock of animals stalked a 60 year old woman from the roof, to her death. In 2018, a 12-day-old baby was fatally bitten by a monkey after taking it from its mother’s arms.
