FinTech 2022 Online Conference – FNB Connect CEO Bradwin Roper on Technology Democratization

Bradwin Roper is the CEO of FNB Connect South Africa, a leading ISP in South Africa and a key business unit of FirstRand Bank Limited.

Previously, he worked at Unilever for over six years before being appointed national manager of strategy, planning and cost accounting for a leading South African bank.

Roper then joined the FNB ecosystem as Head of Credit Sales in 2012. Since then, he has held several leadership positions at FNB before finally taking over as CEO of FNB Connect in May 2020.

At this conference, Roper meets with Michael Avery to discuss the democratization of data and mobile devices in South Africa.

They talk about the challenges of giving all South Africans access to smartphones and the reasons for the slow adoption of connectivity in South Africa.

Roper then talks about how FNB Connect is giving more South Africans access to mobile devices and data through affordable products and bundles.
