The Tesla car of Taiwanese singer Jimmy Lin caught fire.

ENTERTAINER Jimmy Lin was hospitalized Friday after his car crashed into a signpost in Taoyuan’s Luzhu District on Friday as bystanders pulled Lin and his son out of the rubble shortly before they burst into flames.

According to Focus Taiwanpolice said the cause of the one-car accident is still being investigated.

DVR and CCTV footage showed that the front of Lin’s Tesla Model X sheared off a raised lane divider before crashing into a signpost.

While construction workers and others nearby were able to get Lin and his six-year-old son out of the car, a video later filmed by bystanders shows the vehicle engulfed in flames.

The fire appears to have started at the front of the vehicle and eventually engulfed the entire front of the electric vehicle.

According to eyewitnesses, the electric car caught fire about five minutes after Lin and his son were pulled out of the car.
