Boris Johnson joins Ukrainian soldiers at military exercises in Yorkshire

Prime Minister Boris Johnson joined Ukrainian soldiers in a military exercise in North Yorkshire, England, in late July as the troops were being trained by the British armed forces. In a video released by 10 Downing Street, Johnson in uniform participates in an exercise. In the footage, Johnson said that 400 Ukrainian soldiers were being trained in Yorkshire and that the United Kingdom hoped to train around 10,000 Ukrainian troops in the next four months. Johnson said he was “absolutely convinced” that Ukrainian forces would defeat Russia. In early July, the first group of Ukrainian servicemen trained in the British Armed Forces arrived in the UK.
