World champion Max Verstappen took full advantage of Charles Leclerc’s slippage from the lead to extend his lead in this year’s title race with a crushing victory over Lewis Hamilton at the sun-warmed French Grand Prix on Sunday.

The 24-year-old Dutchman drove with impeccable control in the scorching heat and brought his Red Bull home 10.587 seconds ahead of Hamilton Mercedes in his 300th race, where George Russell in second Mercedes beat Sergio PĂ©rez in another Red Bull. for the third.
