Sound enhancement apps: amd noise reduction

AMD has released a trailer for a new feature coming to AMD Adrenalin graphics processing unit (GPU) software called AMD Noise Suppression. This is positioned as a rival feature to NVIDIA’s “RTX Voice” feature, which uses artificial intelligence to isolate voices during a call. AMD Noise Suppression will be powered by a “real-time deep learning algorithm” that will remove background noise and audio interference from input audio streams.

In addition to removing background noise from input audio, AMD claims that its noise canceling feature will provide two-way noise reduction, meaning it will learn to isolate audio played through the output device as well. This feature will improve the overall clarity of voice calls in noisy rooms or offices, ensuring that every participant, whether it’s a fun voice chat or a work call, understands every word they hear.
