Actors James Gunn prepare to say goodbye to ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’

THINGS were quite emotional on Saturday at the Marvel Comic-Con 2022 Hall H panel in San Diego. The event, attended by over 6,000 fans, witnessed many of the franchise’s most emotional moments.

One of them, of course, was the farewell to the late star Chadwick Boseman. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

But long before Marvel head Kevin Feige and Marvel unveiled the clip for the next chapter Black Pantherit was a clip for an upcoming film by James Gunn Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which made the audience tear up.

“To say that I cried is not even a compliment. I cried,” he tweeted. Clerks directed by Kevin Smith.

While it wasn’t the entire trailer, the teaser gave a glimpse of the upcoming chapter. 2002 Flaming Lips hit set You understandThe short video revealed the origin story of fan-favorite character Rocket Racoon, as well as Will Poulter’s long-awaited introduction to Adam Warlock.

While little is known about the upcoming project, director James Gunn and the cast have promised that it will be a “beautiful goodbye” for their characters, who immediately fell in love with fans when they debuted on the big screen in 2014.

Gunn told those gathered in Hall H: “It’s about emotions, about characters and their journeys, about how they reveal the truth about themselves, and that’s not what people expect.

“Nothing is neat; nothing tied with a bow. This is the end of these characters’ story.”

Chris Pratt, who plays Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, added, “Don’t do any emotional preparation, just watch this and you’ll understand why people were moved.”

The actor also spoke about the experience of wrapping up the series.

“Well, all great things come to an end and I think we’ve built a really great family over the last 10 years,” Pratt shared. “I know that term is trite, but it’s true, man. We’ve been through a ton and it’s just fine [to be here together]”.

“We are also just grateful to James for directing all three films and we are just lucky. I feel a lot.”

Fans will get their turn to get a feel for the characters when Part 3 hits theaters around the world on May 5, 2023.
