Julio Jonesthe seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver reportedly found a new home on Tuesday.
According to multiple reports, the 33-year-old wide receiver has agreed to a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He will be the final target for Tom Brady.
Jones played for the Tennessee Titans in 2021, having spent most of his career with the Atlanta Falcons. The Titans acquired Jones from Atlanta for a fifth-round draft pick. He was expected to be a solid duo with A.J. Brown on Titans, but it didn’t really go that way.
Jones played 10 games for the Titans. He had 31 catches for 434 yards and a touchdown. He spent some time on the reserves with a hamstring injury. He will have six catches for 62 yards in Tennessee’s playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this year and will be released later.
Joining the Pirates potentially make it the dynamic target it once was. Potentially it can be considered as number one. 2 or not. 3 wide receivers on a team that already has Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and high hopes for the likes of Russell Gage, Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson.
Throughout his career, Jones has also been selected as a member of the All-Pro First Team twice and was inducted into the 2010s Team Hall of Fame.
In 145 career games, he threw 879 for 13,330 yards and 61 touchdowns.
