Destin Daniel Cretton Directing ‘Avengers: The Kahn Dynasty’

DIRECTOR Destin Daniel Cretton, director Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringsit was announced that he will head the next part Avengers series – Avengers: Kang Dynasty.

The film is believed to be based on The Kang Dynasty, also known as the Kang War, a 16-comic book saga that follows Kang the Conqueror, an infamous warlord from the future who is one of the Avengers’ deadliest villains.

The premiere of the film is already scheduled for May 2, 2025. There is currently no screenwriter attached to the project.

Kevin Feige showed up at San Diego Comic-Con Kang dynasty will be one of two films released in 2025. Avengers: Secret Wars November 7, 2025, six months later. As of yet, there has been no announcement about the director of this particular film.

Marvel Studios is keeping narration and casting details under wraps for now. However, as the title suggests, Kang (Jonathan Majors) will star in the film as Kang the Conqueror. This means that he will be the next threat to the multiverse and the heroes.

Majors were previously featured in Loki. Although the character’s name was never revealed in the series, he was referred to as “The One Who Remains” (a classic Marvel Comics villain).

Kahn will also be the main antagonist in the upcoming game. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania movie. However, the actor mentioned at Comic-Con that there are multiple Kangs and one of them. Loki different from that in Ant-Man.

Cretton’s direction shang chi definitely impressed Marvel as the second film in Marvel’s fourth phase was a blockbuster hit, grossing over US$432 million (RM1.92 billion) worldwide. In late 2021, Cretton signed an agreement with Marvel Studios and Onyx Collective to embark on a new MCU project, Wonder Man for Disney+.
