A girl was taken to hospital after she and her dog were mauled by two dogs outside a school in Melbourne.
Emergency services were called to Bellevue Dr Hospital in Berwick around 8am Wednesday after a 12-year-old girl and her dog were attacked.
“The girl was taken to Casey Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries to her upper and lower body,” a spokesperson for the Victoria Ambulance Service told NCA NewsWire Friday.
According to preliminary data, the two dogs responsible for the attack fled the territory. Herald of the Sun.
Frightened parents and children witnessed the attack near Berwick Fields Primary School and some of them tried to help.
The girl’s injured pet was also taken to the hospital and required surgery to treat the injuries, the newspaper reported.
It is understood that the city of Casey is investigating the incident, and two dogs have been captured.
