Twitter testing feature to add multiple media types to one tweet

Microblogging platform Twitter is testing a new feature that will allow users to attach multiple media formats to a single post.

With this feature, the user can add an image, video, and GIF to a single tweet. According to GSM Arena, those who have used Twitter for a while know that the company has only supported one type of media connection so far. While users can attach up to four images, there was no way to attach more than one video or GIF, or mix them with images.

With this update, the limit of four forms of media remains, but users can now have any combination of images, videos, and GIFs in these four slots.

“For a limited time, we’re testing a new Featured Accounts feature that will allow people to mix up to four media in a single Tweet, regardless of format,” Twitter said in a tweet. “We see people having more visual conversations on Twitter and using images, GIFs and videos to make those conversations engaging. With this quiz, we hope to find out how people combine these different media formats to express themselves more creatively on Twitter. beyond 280 characters.”

As usual for Twitter tests, this feature will only be available for some accounts in certain regions. It is not yet known when this feature will become available to everyone, if at all.
