THIS IS It looks like Suicide Squad leader Amanda Waller’s next appearance in the DC Extended Universe will be more than a cameo.
This was stated by actor Aldis Hodge, who played Hawkman/Carter Hall in the upcoming film. Black Adam in an interview with Fandango. Hodge told the publication that he would share the stage with Waller’s actress Viola Davis.
“When I saw in the script that she was there, I thought, ‘Do I have a scene with Val? Am I getting a GOAT scene? Damn it!” Hodge recalled.
Davis’ crackdown on the role was first confirmed during the film’s panel at the recent San Diego Comic-Con 2022, although the role the character will play in the film’s story is unknown.
Hodge is not the only actor to point out the connection between Suicide Squad as well as Black Adam.
Dwayne Johnson, who plays the film’s protagonist, revealed that “Black Adam doesn’t care” about a group of world-saving supervillains while responding to a fan on Twitter.
It remains to be seen whether Hawkman will fight alongside longtime ally Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan) as Waller’s spokesman or take on Black Adam on his own.
Black Adam will be Hawkman’s debut in the DCEU, in addition to his first live-action appearance since The CW’s Arrowverse, where he was played by actor Falk Hentschel.
Black Adam will be released October 21st.
