Google Stadia: Google denies shutting down its Stadia cloud gaming service

tech giant Google denied the statement about the closure of its cloud gaming platform Stagesstating that it is still “working to bring more great games to the platform”.

The company made the announcement after rumors began circulating earlier this week that it would be shutting down the platform later this year, Engadget reported.

“Stadia is not shutting down,” the official Stadia Twitter account told a concerned fan in a tweet spotted by PC Gamer.

“Rest assured, we are always working to bring more great games to the platform and Stage Pro“, it added.

Some Stadia fans were convinced that Google would finally shut down the service after Cody Ogden Murdered by Google’s fame, the Twitter account and blog that tracks the company’s ever-expanding graveyard shared a post from a Facebook fan group.

According to the post, an “old colleague and friend” told the author that Google recently held a meeting to discuss the future of Stadia – or lack of it.

They said that by the end of the summer, the company will close the platform and will do so using the same strategy as with Google Play Music.
