Hotels.com is hiring a Retro Beach Motelier employee who will visit several retro beach motels in the United States and enjoy 1950s-style ocean views.
The motel will be outfitted with old-school accessories, including zinc SPF, striped umbrellas, vintage sunglasses, a refrigerator, and even a solar-powered AM/FM radio to enjoy the tunes. The work will include offline activities such as documenting the trip “for future generations” using a classic Polaroid camera.
The professional camper will be given a $10,000 travel stipend and a $5,000 salary for classic beach snacks like salt water toffees, frozen custard and snow cones.
“Travelers these days tend to look for all-inclusive hotels and resorts when planning their summer vacation, but our Retro Beach Motelier proves that beachfront motels can be just as luxurious,” said Melissa Domaine of hotels.com. “These timeless motels are not only inexpensive, but will take beach lovers – literally and figuratively – back in time to truly unwind and unwind.”
Those who don’t want to travel alone can bring a guest to join in on the fun.
