Data protection bill withdrawn from Lok Sabha; government plans new ‘set of laws’ in winter session – The Economic Times video

The government on Wednesday withdrew the privacy bill from the Lok Sabha and said it would issue a “set of new laws” that would fit into a comprehensive legal framework. “The government will introduce a number of new laws for a comprehensive legal framework for the digital economy,” Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told PTI, who called for the bill to be withdrawn in the House of Representatives.
