Shohei Otani still looking for 10th win after losing to A’s

Shohei Otani lost his third bid to make history as the Los Angeles Angels lost 3-1 to the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday, leaving the two-sided star stuck at nine wins.

No MLB player since Babe Ruth in 1918 has won 10 games as a pitcher or hit 10 home runs in a single season. Otani (9-7), who has 22 homers this season, has given up three runs, two earned, seven hits, one walk and one wild serve at Angel Stadium.
