Latest Andora Trailer Revealed Along With New Release Date

Disney+ shared a trailer for the upcoming series Andorwhich also indicates a delayed release date.

Originally scheduled to debut on August 31, the first three episodes of the Lucasfilm Original Series, set before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Storieswhich will premiere on Disney+ on September 21.

The show is described as a new take on the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on the journey of smuggler and rebel spy Cassian Andor (Diego Luna). The series is said to tell the story of the Empire’s nascent rebellion and how people and planets became connected. This is a time of danger, deceit and intrigue, and Cassian is about to embark on a journey that will turn him into a rebel hero.

Showrunner Tony Gilroy said, “The thing is, he really hates the revolution, he’s cynical, he’s lost and a little crazy. His adopted home will be the backbone of our entire first season, and we’re watching the place go drastic. Then we see another planet completely disassembled in colonial style. The empire is expanding rapidly. They destroy anyone who stands in their way.”

The first 12 episodes will span one year, while production on the second (and final) season will span the four years leading up to Rogue One.

The series has many comebacks. star Wars characters, as well as a few new ones. The highly talented Forest Whitaker reprises his role as Saw Guerrera, a character first seen in Rogue One in 2016.

Meanwhile, Genevieve O’Reilly will reprise her role as rebel leader Mon Mothma. Caroline Blakiston first played the character in 1983. Return of the Jedi. O’Reilly then took over the role in 2005. Revenge of the Sith and returned to Rogue One.

They will be joined by Stellan SkarsgÄrd, Kyle Soller and Denise Gough. Adria Archona, pious good omen, is the most recent addition to the cast. Andy Serkis is expected to reprise his role as the ruthless Supreme Leader Snoke.
